Former Fiji 7s rep and current Nadroga co-captain, Manueli Ratuniyarawa will be hoping for a win this Friday when they face Nadi at Prince Charles Park.
Ratuniyarawa graduated with a diploma in wood processing, value adding (level 5) from the Fiji National University yesterday and will be hoping to end the week on a high by defeating neighbours Nadi.
“Our main goal right now is to fill up our union cabinet and take back the Skipper Cup and Farebrother Trophy,” he said.
Both teams are hurting from defeat in their last games and will be looking for redemption when they face each other this weekend.
Ratuniyarawa, who is a police officer by profession, said he was excited to complete his studies after putting it on a hold when his rugby career flourished.
“When I left school, this was what I wanted to do but then God had another plan and my rugby career took off, but I’m thankful to have completed it.”
He said after graduating, he now has plans to continue furthering his education as age is catching up on him in the field of rugby.
“Rugby has its time, and I am nearing that age, so I have plans to further my education and prepare myself for life after rugby.”
