SOCIAL Democratic Liberal Party leader Sitiveni Rabuka has described Ratu Sela Nanovo as a man who fulfilled his duties and someone who was dedicated to his calling as a parliamentarian.
Speaking at Ratu Sela’s funeral service at the Centenary Methodist Church in Suva yesterday, Mr Rabuka said the party would cherish the great things Ratu Sela had done for his people.
“I would like to thank the vanua and the family for supporting him and being with him until his sad passing,” Mr Rabuka said.
“He is someone who fulfils his duties and roles within the party and we always acknowledge him for his contributions.
“He served his people well and I thank him for involving himself with the party.
“He cared for the people of Fiji.” Ratu Sela hailed from the chiefly family in Tavuki, Kadavu and was a member of Parliament in the Opposition. Ratu Sela died at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital last Wednesday. He is survived by his wife, four children and four grandchildren.
