Murder accused Ratu Peceli Rosotokaicake Rokoravolo has sought more time from the High Court in Lautoka to prepare his bail application.
Representing himself, Mr Rokoravolo appeared before Justice Aruna Aluthge yesterday.
He is charged with one count of murder.
The charge relates to the death of Dr Isireli Biumaitotoya in Nadi last year.
Justice Aluthge adjourned the case to February 3 and further remanded Mr Rokoravolo into custody.
