Ratu Nemani dominates North-West comp

RATU Nemani Memorial School dominated the North -West Primary Schools Netball competition on Monday, claiming top honours in both the senior and junior grades.

The side secured the senior title after defeating Nalovo Sangam 6-4 in a closely contested final, while also emerging victorious in the junior grade to complete a clean sweep of the competition.

Salad Bowl Netball president Judy Kumar praised the success of the event, describing it as a memorable day for all involved.

“What an incredible and action-packed day at the North- West Nadroga Primary School Meet, proudly hosted at Tau Primary School.

“From the early hours of the morning, the grounds were filled with excitement, laughter, and anticipation as students, teachers, and parents gathered to witness a celebration of talent, teamwork, and determination,” Kumar said.

“The event highlighted the outstanding achievements of our young athletes, who gave their very best in every race and competition. Their commitment, discipline, and sportsmanship truly reflected the strong guidance and hard work of our dedicated teachers and coaches, who have spent countless hours preparing them for this special day.

“A heartfelt appreciation also goes out to the parents and families whose support and encouragement played a huge role in motivating the children. Your presence on the sidelines brought energy and pride to the event.”

“One of the most exciting highlights of the day was spotting some remarkably tall and promising players, showing great potential for future competitions. Their performances caught the attention of many and gave us a glimpse of the bright future ahead for our schools in sports.

“Beyond the competitions, the day was filled with unity, joy, and a strong sense of community. It was more than just a sports meet it was a celebration of teamwork, perseverance, and the nurturing of young talent.

“Vinaka vakalevu to everyone who contributed teachers, students, parents, and organizers—for making this event such a memorable and successful occasion. We look forward to even bigger and better meets in the future.”
