OPPOSITION leader Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu says, Easter is about the importance of change, responsibility for each other and doing the right thing for the good of our people and future generations.
“In renewing our commitment as we celebrate Easter, we must reinforce our Faith in embracing the verse from John 11:25, which I quote ‘Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die and whoever lives in believing in me will never die’.”
“As our nation continues to face unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of cyclones Yasa and Ana and the continuous threat of climate change, we must have faith and hope and must embrace each other for a better tomorrow,” Ratu Naiqama said.
He added as we reflect on the adversity facing our nation today, “we must continue to support each other, practising the values of compassion, forgiveness, kindness, hard work and responsibility.”
