To have proper learning tools and equipment helps students to thrive in school.
To assist Year 5 and 6 students of Rambisessar Chaudhary Memorial Primary School, the Flour Mills of Fiji (FMF) Foods Ltd team last week donated 140 new desks and chairs to the school in Sawani.
The desks and chairs will help students have a more comfortable and efficient learning environment.
FMF Foods Ltd warehouse manager, Anjani Ashika Singh who was chief guest at the event said the company was delighted to announce its new partnership with the school.
Ms Singh said their support aims at upgrading the learning environment of the Year 5 and 6 students of Rambisessar Chaudhary Memorial Primary School.
“Our long-standing involvement in community service, particularly education and sports reflect our dedication,” she said.
The donation marked a significant moment for the school as it helps to create a better and conducive learning environment for its students.
Head of school, Sanita Lal said FMF’s commitment to education was truly commendable.
“By supporting our school with this donation, they have not only enhanced the physical comfort of the students but have also enhanced the educational experience of each child that walks through our doors,” Mrs Lal said.
“The new furniture will undoubtedly create a more comfortable and efficient learning environment, allowing our students to focus more on their studies.
“It is partnerships like this that strengthen the fabric of our communities.”
Nausori’s senior education officer, Marika Baleca who was present at the handover also thanked FMF for their support.
He said the new donation will surely boost the morale of students.
He also urged the students to take good ownership of the new furniture while in class.
