Swire Shipping Fijian Drua winger Taniela Rakuro has recently inked a contract extension that will keep him with the Club until the end of the 2026 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

Hailing from Vusama, Nadroga, the 25-year-old player is renowned for his explosive speed and has made a significant impact on the team, scoring 9 tries in 23 appearances.

In addition to his contributions to the Fijian Drua, Rakuro has been allocated to play for the Yarrow’s Taranaki Bulls in the upcoming 2025 Bunnings Warehouse NPC.

This opportunity will allow him to gain valuable game time during the offseason.

“I am grateful to God for this opportunity to represent the Fijian Drua again in the 2026 season,” he said.

Fijian Drua General Manager Rugby Baden Stephenson praised Rakuro’s performance, highlighting his strong presence and infectious energy on the field.
