A man from Naivuvuni village in Rakiraki is pleading for public assistance after his fibreglass boat and outboard engine were stolen earlier this week.
Joape Bainivalu said the incident occurred on Thursday night, and he has been searching for the missing boat and engine for the past two days.
“Please, I’m begging you people to help. That is the only thing that helps my family here in the village,” he said.
Mr Bainivalu said the 23-foot fibreglass boat, named AUSVISION JNR, is relatively new and was fitted with a 60-horsepower outboard engine.
