The Fiji Meteorological Service says a trough of low pressure remains slow moving to the northwest of Fiji.
In its latest bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 5.30am today, forecasters say cloudy periods with showers and isolated heavy falls are expected over the interior and eastern parts of Macuata, southern Bua, Cakaudrove, and the eastern parts of Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.
Similar conditions are expected over the interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu, from Suva through Nausori to Rakiraki, as well as in the Yasawa, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups. Elsewhere, isolated afternoon or evening showers with possible thunderstorms are likely.
For tomorrow, the outlook remains unsettled, with showers, isolated heavy falls, and thunderstorms likely over the eastern and interior parts of the larger islands and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
The Weather Office warns that heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
