Radio supports popular music

Update: 7:22PM A MAJOR media broadcasting organization has boosted the Fiji Performing Rights Association (FPRA) annual music awards night with a $5000 sponsorship earlier today.

Communications Fiji Limited (CFL) handed the assistance over in support of the “Most Popular Song of the Year” category.

Viti FM  Programs Director Maikeli Radua , said the sponsorship was done in order to support the development of the local music industry in the country.

“Our approach over the years has not changed. We are here to present our donation to FPRA today (yesterday),” Mr Radua said.

FPRA director Seru Serevi encouraged all FPRA members to fill in the forms and take part in the competition    if they wanted to be recognized for their hard work.

FPRA has more than 800 members registered with them around the country.

The FPRAMAs will be held on May, 12 at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.
