Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka visited his predecessor Voreqe Baninimarama at the Korovou Corrections Centre last Friday.
In Parliament today, Mr Rabuka confirmed visiting Mr Bainimarama before commissioning the new Fiji Royal Navy ship the RFNS Puamau.
“Before going to the commissioning I asked the Commissioner of Corrections Services if I could pay a courtesy visit to the former PM Bainimarama and I was telling him that I was doing the commissioning of the RFNS Puamau acknowledging the great work that he had done in restoring and furthering this Vuvale Partnership during this time,” said Mr Rabuka.
The PM also acknowledged Mr Bainimarama for starting the Vuvale Partnership with Australia in 2019.
