The recent reappointment of a previously dismissed Cabinet minister was highlighted during the press event in Ba on Thursday.
Participant Paul Seforana questioned the rationale behind the decision to reinstate Lynda Tabuya as a Cabinet minister.
While posing the question to Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, Mr Seforana said the minister in question was disciplined regarding an issue which was misconduct, and she was dismissed from her position, but then was reappointed.
“What is the message that we are sending to our young people in regard to such conduct being undertaken by our senior people in society?” he said.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka responded briefly: “My very simple response is that every sinner has a future, and every saint has a past.”
