COULD someone clarify if there is a provision in the Constitution for a sitting member to jump ship instead of resigning?

THE Fiji Times factual reporting on issues affecting the nation is apparently not palatable to some. Our honourable PM has now decided to launch a scathing attack at the Times for irresponsible and unethical journalism practices, (FT 15/4). Not fair Frank. Nonetheless, carry on with the good work The Fiji Times!

BRAVO to my province for the best export province (FT 16/04/15). There is a lot of untapped potential resources in our province we could use. I hope we will continue doing this and also let our belief in our good Lord keep shining in each village in Ra.

I BELIEVE consultation will only lead to positive development for Fiji and its people. The PM should lead by example and consult the Opposition prior to making any change, political or otherwise. The outcome can only be positive.

SEVENTY years ago this week, six million Jews were found dead in Nazi concentration camps. This was a third of the Jewish population at the time. Today, fewer than 100,000 survivors remain all over the world. What happened there is probably humanity’s darkest hour in history. One prays that we never ever go down that road again.

GOOD to see the Lautoka City Council opening a recycling centre at IYC park near the hospital. With the amount of people who use the area for recreation, I am sure people will do the right thing and drop all the recyclable stuff like cans, bottles and other products. It’s time the ratepayers joined hands and help.

In need of help
MANY of our growing-up children are desperately searching for help. Can we grown-ups help them? I feel strongly we can at least find or tell them they can find some trustworthy grown-up friends who can always talk out their problems; and see no matter how bad their mistakes/sins/faults maybe that many human beings have done just the same. Every problem can be solved. All good people and our Creator God, Himself always forgive our every fault if we are sorry. Life is precious! You are precious; and no matter what you have done you still remain precious! Do not destroy yourself. God loves you.
