Gay night

WE have co-existed for years. The gay night in all festivals are the most popular event, Hibiscus Festival included. Why do some continue to discriminate against them?

Sunny Leone

IN America thousands of young girls join the porn Industry but they last only a year or so. Sunny joined the porn industry and became a porn star. From a porn star she became a film star at the Indian film industry known as Bollywood. I just want to know is it a promotion for her to jump from being a “porn star” to a “film star” or is it a self demotion.

Hibiscus queen

THIS year’s level or calibre of the 2015 Hibiscus queen contestants is really high. Singling out one, Miss FBC Nelisha Umarao is showing great promise in becoming a great queen. I’m placing my money on her.

Bus service

CAN anybody kindly explain through this column, why only one bus company is servicing the Suva-Davuilevu Housing route? I have been living here for five years and I believe this problem of bad bus service is getting worse. Buses are overloaded and running at intervals of 20-40 minutes in the morning. Whereas they should run every 10 minutes with a very large work and schooling population. In the afternoons passengers from Nabua onwards have to stand for 30 minutes all the way home. Something is not right here. Can the authorities concerned help in this and allow another bus company to also service this area so tired workers after a hard working day can get into a bus and travel with comfort.

Uni entrance

IF the university entrance exam is lowered, I believe this will mean access for students who may have not qualified for university, especially for mature students. I believe it will also mean a decrease in unemployment rates if they decide to pursue the academic pathway. They are not unemployed, they are students. I will boldly state and predict the Government in 1-2 years will announce there has been a drop in unemployment rates. I believe it could be the start of an underqualified, and ill-prepared group of graduates entering the workforce as seen here in NZ.
