Suva 1 took out the 2023 Punjas Biscuit Games boys division title with 10 gold, eight silver and three bronze medals at the conclusion of the two-day event at Churchill Park in Lautoka yesterday.
Nadroga Navosa finished second with nine gold, four silver and 12 bronze medals.
Suva 2 finished third place with eight gold, 10 silver and four bronze medals. In the girls division, Nadi put on a dominant display, finishing in first place with 22 gold, 12 silver and six bronze medals.
Nadroga Navosa finished the two-day meet in second place with nine gold, six silver and 11 bronze medals.
Suva 1 came in third place with seven gold, five silver and nine bronze medals. Nadi Head Teachers Association president Arvind Kumar said they were very proud of what the girls achieved. ”
They have made all the school’s in Nadi very proud and there is a bright future for athletics in Nadi.
“The students followed the instructions of their teachers and I would also like to acknowledge all the parents and teachers for backing the students throughout the two days,” he said.
Suva 1 head coach Master Bill Momo also acknowledged the efforts of all his athletics.
