A long line of people waited from as early as 12-midnight for the doors of the Fiji Immigration Department office along Robertson Road to open.
For some who came in early, they said they did not want to be stuck in a long line all day while others were turned away yesterday and did not want to miss the chance of getting a ticket number.
According to those that attempted for the second time, only the first 100 people were given numbers.
Questions have been sent to the Immigration Director on the issue.
