Public invited to review EIA for proposed 13-storey apartment block in Suva

The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has invited members of the public to review and comment on an Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) report for a proposed 13-storey apartment complex at Laucala Bay, Suva.

The project, known as Barret Place Apartments, has been proposed by Charan Katonivere Holdings Pte Ltd and will be built on Lot 18, DP 5274, Barret Place.

Under the Environment Management (Amendment) Act 2025, the public has 21 days from the date the report was submitted to the EIA Administrator to inspect and provide feedback.

From 27 December 2025, a physical copy of the report is available for public review at Department of Environment Headquarters, Level 2, Bali Towers, Toorak, Toorak Police Post and Flagstaff Police Post.

The Department said comments will be considered valid if received within 21 working days from the date of placement of the EIA report.

Submissions must be sent to the Department of Environment by 27 January 2026.
