A VIRAL video circulating on social media showing a man supposedly selling used wreaths at the Nausori Market has attracted much attention from the public.
People raised their concerns after finding that items such as mats, masi, and wreaths that had decorated a relative’s grave had gone missing a few days after burial.
The Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) is responsible for managing cemeteries and maintaining burial grounds throughout Fiji.
These cemeteries include Suva, Nasinu, Vatuwaqa, Lautoka, Levuka, and Labasa.
“We maintain security fences around the cemeteries,” Deputy Commissioner FCS Auta Moceisuva said.
Questions sent to police have remained unanswered.
