Nadi Town Council acting chief executive officer Muni Reddy has dismissed fears of damage by the recent tropical disturbance 03F to Prince Charles Park.

Reddy said the facility was not affected by the recent floods.

“Nothing major except the normal clearing of debris left behind when the floodwaters receded,” Reddy said.

“The sporting facility wasn’t damaged. Prince Charles Park won’t be closed and remains open to host any major sporting event in the coming months.

“Nadi has a lot of talented sports people and they can continue to train and play at the grounds under strict COVID-19 protocols.”

The ground is managed by the NTC and is home to the Nadi Football Association including the Nadi Rugby Union.
