CONSTRUCTION has started on a new commercial development in Natabua, Lautoka, and is expected to fill the void of a prime shopping centre in the area.
A two-minute drive from the Queens highway, Natraj Mall is being developed next to the Fiji National University’s campus and includes a shopping mall.
“It will be ideal for commercial offices, a supermarket and retail shops, hardware shops, restaurants and cafe, service stations, mini-markets, barber shops, internet cafés and taxi base, etc.,” said realtor Ajen Kumar of LJ Hooker, who are exclusively marketing the property.
He said tenancy would begin from early next year and cater to the high demands for commercial spaces in the area, with rental charges for shop spaces at $2000 VEP, service station rental charges at $6000 VEP and $12,900 for supermarkets.
Home to the Natabua Corrections Centre, its staff quarters and other Government residential quarters and the FNU’s Lautoka campus, the area has a high residential population and straddles the nearby farming communities of Saru.
Tenancy interest has been strong and the property is being exclusively marketed by LJ Hooker.
