The Fiji FA President’s Five side had to settle for the fourth position at the OFC Futsal Cup tournament.
The side lost the third place playoff 5-3 against New Caledonia at the Vodafone Arena in Suva yesterday.
Two first-half goals from Ravneel Pal kept Fiji in the game as the teams rested tied 2-all at halftime.
New Caledonia had a better second spell and scored three second-half goals to Fiji’s one.
Aman Naidu scored the home side’s lone goal in the second spell.
The Fiji FA President’s Five lost to the Solomon Islands 5-1 in the cup semi-final on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Futsal side went down 4-3 to Vanuatu in the plate final.
