President reiterates meaningful partnership with Israel

The President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has thanked Israel for a meaningful partnership over the past years which has resulted in a special bond of friendship between the two nations.

He made this comment to Israel’s ambassador to Fiji and the Pacific, Roi Rosenbilt when he paid a courtesy visit to Government House as part of his two days tour.

Ratu Naiqama said partnership between the two nations have included a range of areas from security, peacekeeping, agriculture, the development of cooperatives in Fiji and more recently, climate change.

He also thanked the Government and the people of Israel for their unwavering support to Fiji and its people over the years.

“I acknowledge the enduring bonds of friendship between the two nations, first formally established in 1970,” he said.

Ratu Naiqama also commended Israel’s world-renowned, groundbreaking technology which has played a central role in this collaboration, particularly in areas such as water management, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy solutions.
