AFTER serving as Vodafone Fiji’s chief commercial officer since 2014, Ronald Prasad has taken on the new role of chief operating officer effective from yesterday.
Regional chief executive officer Pradeep Lal in announcing the appointment said: “With his knowledge and expertise in the mobile telecommunications industry, we are confident that Ronald will seamlessly take on the responsibilities of chief operating officer.”
Mr Prasad joined Vodafone Fiji in 2007 as manager business markets and was promoted to director corporate and business marketing in 2009.
He has been serving as chief commercial officer up to now.
A Vodafone press release said Mr Prasad had been responsible for Vodafone Fiji’s overall enterprise sales, marketing and commercial operations, as well as enterprise product development, strategy, cloud and hosting services.
He has been instrumental in leading the transformation of Vodafone Enterprise into a total communications and ICT solutions provider.
Mr Lal congratulated Mr Prasad on his new appointment and commended his work and contributions as an important member of his executive team.
Mr Prasad said he attributed his success to the support, guidance and leadership he had received over the years at Vodafone.
“Vodafone has given me the opportunity to grow and harness my knowledge and skills; pushing me to exceed expectations and explore the endless opportunities and challenges that this dynamic industry has to offer,” Mr Prasad said.
