Praise for men who rescued a horse from floods in Nadi

A group of men are being praised for pulling out a horse from a flooded plain in Nadi yesterday.

In pictures uploaded on social media, the horse is seen standing with flood waters almost up to its head.

“Amid the rising floodwaters near town, a horse was left tied and trapped,” posted Mohammed Khan on the Pets Fiji Adoptions Rescue and Support social media page.

“While many stood on the riverbank, it was a group fearless young men who took action.”’

“Without hesitation they plunged into the dangerous waters, risking their lives to rescue the helpless animal.”’
