Post Fiji Ltd has officially welcomed its new board this week, all 8 of whom take their positions as board members armed with a wealth of knowledge and experience in their respective fields.
While the board is yet to have its first official meeting, visions of uplifting and expanding the reach of the country’s postal services were already on the minds of the newly appointed board members and board chair Isireli Leweniqila as they and the management team introduced themselves at a welcoming event at the Post Fiji Board Room in Suva yesterday.
“This is just an orientation, and I am glad some of the board members are already pitching their ideas and thoughts.
“I look forward to and hope that when we have our machinery rolling and have the professional advice of management, we won’t let those that appointed us down,” said Mr Leweniqila.
Post Fiji CEO Dr Anirudha Bansod said the executive team had been eagerly awaiting the appointment of a new board and thanked all members of the previous board for their immense contributions.
“Looking at the portfolios of the new board members is very exciting, every one of them is very skilled and knowledgeable in their various domains.
“This is a fantastic team, and we are sure we will get good strategic guidance,” Dr Bansod added.
The current members of the Post Fiji board are Radhika Karunaratne, Eroni Maopa, Loraine Tulele, Sadasivan Naicker, Orisi Seruitanoa, Seveci Tora, Ritesh Singh and Isireli Leweniqila.
