Update: 5:16PM OTAGO: POSSIBLE human remains were found in a dwelling house that was destroyed in a fire just before midday today at a rural property on Domain Road in Lake Hawea.
New Zealand Police said at approximately 11:20am, they were called to assist with the fire in the non-mobile house bus that was used as a dwelling house.
Police said that Fire and Emergency NZ had put the blaze out and located possible human remains within the dwelling.
However, this had yet to be confirmed by a forensic pathologist.
Police and Fire will carry out a scene examination tomorrow morning.
