Acting Commissioner of Police Juki Fong Chew has reiterated the importance of respecting the rule of law and let the court process take its course.
In responding to police security measures at this week’s court sentencing of former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and former Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho, Mr Chew said his team’s focus is to ensure no disturbance.
“Our focus is on ensuring there’s no disturbance or disruptions,” he said.
“We reiterate the call to respect the rule of law and to let the court process take its course.”
