Out of the 220 drug cases, 203 were related to unlawful possession of illicit drugs.
Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu said 15 were unlawful cultivation of illicit drugs while two for unlawful importation of illicit drugs.
Under the Operation Sasamaki, he said 15 farms were raided in which three tons of marijuana were uprooted.
“There were five cases for unlawful possession, a case of proceeds of crime and seven people were charged and remanded in custody,” Mr Tudravu said.
“Arrests for unlawful cultivation and unlawful possession were made in the districts of Nakasaleka, Naceva, Yale and Ravitaki in Kadavu.
“Within the capital city, the Fiji Detector Dog unit, Police Dog and operations team have raided inter-island vessels, hotels and homes were marijuana and methamphetamine were sized and a case of proceeds of crime was detected.”
