POLICE are investigating the deaths of two men in Lautoka and Suva as inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding both cases.
In Lautoka, a man was found dead in a bush beside a car wash in Saweni on Friday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Wame Bautolu said the man had been identified by a relative and his body was being kept at the Lautoka Hospital morgue.
In a separate case, police are investigating the death of a 24-year-old man in Raiwai, Suva, on September 13. Mr Bautolu confirmed the death to The Fiji Times on Saturday.
“A 24-year-old man had died on September 13 and circumstances surrounding his death is being investigated,” he said.
The man was the second eldest of seven siblings — five boys and two girls — and was from Tailevu, with maternal links to Lau.
Both families had not commented when this newspaper went to print.
Police have not released further details about either case as investigations continue.
