The Fiji Police Force has confirmed it is investigating an alleged incident that reportedly occurred at Queen Victoria School.
It is alleged that a senior student was struck by a vehicle within the school premises.
The vehicle was reportedly being driven by a teacher who was allegedly learning how to drive at the time, with another teacher said to have been seated in the passenger seat providing instruction.
The incident is alleged to have resulted in severe head injuries to the student, requiring hospitalization.
Education Minister Aseri Radrodro referred all questions to his Permanent Secretary. However, pictures posted on social media shows Mr Radrodro meeting the student in hospital.
