The defending champions, Police Blue, are gearing up to defend their title at the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament.

Despite a tough loss in the men’s cup final against Fire Rugby last weekend at the Tabadamu 7s, the team is determined to come back stronger.

Led by captain Waisake Ravuiwasa from Taveuni, the team has been preparing for the final leg of the Fiji Bitter Series, focusing on improving their game after identifying their mistakes.

“As defending champs, we are well aware that the competition will be tough, and we will need to work hard to maintain our title,” said Ravuiwasa.

“The team has some young players in our lineup, providing an opportunity for them to showcase their talent on the field.

“With strong contenders like New Zealand and British Royal teams in the mix this year, we are fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead but are ready to face them head-on.”

The team is counting on the support of their families and supporters as they aim to perform well in the tournament.
