POLICE are awaiting the result of a postmortem examination performed on the body discovered on Vesi Street in Flagstaff, Suva, on Saturday.
Police Spokesperson Wame Bautolu said the man had been identified.
“Police is awaiting postmortem examination result to determine the cause of the death,” he said.
A witness living nearby, who wished to remain anonymous, said a woman ran to alert them that a man had collapsed at the junction of Vesi Street around 1.30pm.
Upon arrival they found the man lying motionless on the ground.
He said police were then notified and responded promptly.
Police investigations are ongoing.
