PRIME Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has not confirmed Home Affairs and Immigration Minister Pio Tikoduadua temporarily stepping down from his position.
In an interview with members of the media yesterday, Mr Rabuka said he wouldn’t confirm anything until he met Mr Tikoduadua.
On Thursday, Mr Tikoduadua offered to temporarily step down from his position pending an investigation into the unauthorised issuance of Fijian passports to two children of individuals associated with the Grace Road’s human rights allegations. Mr Tikoduadua, who is in Australia, had told The Fiji Times he had communicated his decision to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka and was awaiting his guidance on the matter.
