Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is urging Fijians to spare a thought for those caught in the middle of war this festive season.

Conveying his Christmas and New Year’s wishes on the Lens@177, Mr Rabuka said Fijians should not forget about those who are suffering.

“I would like to wish everyone in Fiji, from our Head of State, His Excellency the President, members of Cabinet, members of Parliament, civil servants and members of the private sector, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” said Mr Rabuka.

“As we enjoy ourselves, let us spare a thought for those who are not able to go to Bethlehem because of the fighting in the Middle East between Hamas and the Israeli Defence Forces.

“As we celebrate, please remember those who are having a difficult time, not only there but also in Europe, the fighting that is going on between Russia and Ukraine.

“Otherwise, we in Fiji should continue to enjoy our life in Fiji while we pray for those who are having difficulty.”
