THE Fiji Airways Fiji men’s 7s extended squad are putting in the hard yards day in and day out to impress head coach Osea Kolinisau to play in the Hong Kong 7s.
And it’s no easy feat for the extended squad; new faces from the recently-held Fiji Bitter Marist 7s and current players mix in to the intensity of training that unfolds at Albert Park in Suva, where every training regimen will determine who goes and who will not.
Head coach Kolinisau says while preparations for Hong Kong have been going well, the onus to deliver the results expected remains a paramount aim.
“As you can see, it’s a Tuesday (yesterday) and we’re pushing the boys hard. Today (yesterday), we worked on our defence.
“We want to make sure that our processes in defence are right especially getting our processes right, getting our depth to make sure we’re tracking well, we’re not overchasing and make sure our one on one is there,” Kolinisau said.
The Hong Kong 7s will be held from April 17-19 at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
