OUR work is almost done, says former National Federation Party president and Defence Minister Pio Tikoduadua.

He told the recent NFP working committee meeting in Ba that the next general election was just around the corner.

“I wanted to also inform you that our work as a party in the Coalition Government is progressing well and our work is almost done,” Mr Tikoduadua said.

“We have only a little over one and a half years left in government before the next general election.”

He said he was pleased with the work the NFP Cabinet ministers had done over the past two and half years.

“I am very pleased with the work we have done so far as a party through the Coalition.

“The work of our leader Professor Biman Prasad who was given one of the most important roles in the Government, to manage the government’s finances.

“This is not an easy role.”

Mr Tikoduadua said Prof Prasad was given the task of improving the national economy and reducing the debt.

He said they would continue to work with the Coalition members to complete the work they set out to do in 2022.

“We are grateful that the People’s Alliance Party and the National Federation Party agreed to form this coalition to be entrusted with our various responsibilities and our leader was entrusted with the role of managing the economy and the financial development of our State which was in a pretty big mess.”
