Cabinet has approved the partial surrender of the Colo-i-Suva Forestry Reserve lease to enable the Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) to upgrade its infrastructure.

The upgrade, taking place along the Sawani to Colo-i-Suva corridor, aims to enhance water service delivery and increase capacity for communities between Sawani and Tacirua.

Under the project, WAF will use a section of the forest reserve adjacent to its existing Colo-i-Suva reservoir to expand its facilities.

No further details have been provided on the land area that is being surrendered or when will the WAF project commence.
