Parliament will convene this week with MPs contributing and responding to the President’s speech that was delivered at the opening of Parliament two weeks ago.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka will the debate with his response to the President’s speech.
Other MPs listed to speak during the sitting today include Leader of Opposition Inia Seruiratu, Alitia Bainivalu, Premila Kumar, Tomasi Tunabuna, Aliki Bia, Viliame Gavoka, Mosese Bulitavu, Esrom Immanuel, Hem Chand, Manoa Kamikamica, Sanjay Kirpal, Sashi Kiran and Semi Koroilavesau.
The debate forms part of Parliament’s response to the President’s address, with members expected to outline their views on government priorities and national issues.
There is the possibility that government may also table some Bills this week.
