The Fiji Airways Aviation Academy provides training for regional and international pilots and Tourism Minister Viliame Gavoka has described this as a significant accomplishment.
Speaking in Parliament, Mr Gavoka said the company had a total of 350 fleet and two more will be launched in two weeks time.
“Fiji Airways has about 2200 staff and the number of pilots have increased with more than 90 percent locals,” he said.
“The academy is hosting pilots from other countries to train in Nadi and that is significant accomplishment for Fiji Airways.”
