A painter convicted of robbing and selling assorted items has been sentenced to a concurrent term of one year, 11 months, and 23 days in jail.
Luke Tikoiyawa Lesumainiusiladi, 24, was found guilty on a count of aggravated burglary and theft committed on July 15, 2023, in Samabula.
Court records show the victims had left home for shopping and, upon returning, saw louvre blades removed and the house ransacked. Items were missing, although some were recovered later.
Justice Pita Bulamainaivalu decided not to impose a non-parole period according to section 18 (3) of the Sentencing and Penalties Act.
