NEW Zealander Gareth Paddison set a new course record at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course during the third round of the 2016 Fiji International yesterday.
Paddison who plays on the PGA Tour of Australasia scored eight under par 64.
He carded nine birdies, one bogey and eight pars.
Paddison broke the course record held by Vijay Singh and Anthony Houston by one stroke.
As an amateur, Paddison won the New Zealand Amateur Stroke Play Championship and the Queensland Amateur Championship in 1999 and the Canadian Amateur Championship in 2001. He also represented New Zealand at the Eisenhower Trophy in 2000 and turned professional in 2001.
Paddison is four under par going into the third round.
