The Fine Foods New Zealand event this week will allow major players in the hospitality, food service and food retail industries to see first hand what products from Fiji have to offer.

This year Investment Fiji is collaborating with the Fiji Consulate General and Trade Commission in Australia and New Zealand to bring 44 products from Fiji to the Fine Foods event which is held from June 25 to 27.

The Fine Foods New Zealand 2023 event will not only provide an ideal platform to showcase Fiji’s excellence in the food and beverage industry but also open doors for potential partnerships and collaborations with international stakeholders.

Investment Fiji shared that Panpac Distributors Ltd – a subsidiary of CJ Patel Group – is also part of this collaboration.

Its general manager Rajiv Prasad said they would be showcasing their popular Fiji Made brands which they imported to New Zealand to reach out to their prospective customers.

“Currently our major customer base has been the Pacific Community in New Zealand and with this show we would like to present Fijian Made products to other communities within New Zealand.

“Partnering with Investment Fiji has given Panpac New Zealand a platform to represent our wide range of Fijian Made brands with other companies who are travelling from Fiji on one stand,” said Mr Prasad.

Golden Ocean Fish Ltd general manager business development and marketing, Umendra Prasad said such events allowed them a great opportunity to exchange information and create more product awareness, especially for companies in the region.

“This will be one of the greater challenges for us to showcase what we have, given the few opportunities,” he said.

“Our expectation from this showcase is to gain market shares in tuna products at all levels such as wholesales, distributors and retailers.”

Sai Yee Foods Ind Ltd, export manager Ken Yee aims to captivate the attendees of Fine Foods 2023 with their delectable range of premium products.

“We hope to re – establish our presence in the New Zealand market as we see this as a vital channel to allow our business to reach more customers,” said Mr Yee.

“In this regard we aim to sign up distribution channels for large supermarkets and retail outlets.

“This event will obviously be a stepping stone for us to reach out to other markets internationally and we would like to thank Investment Fiji for giving us this opportunity,” he added.
