WITH two Pacific Mini Games trials completed, competition is expected to intensify at the Easter Games which serves as the third trial for athletes.
This year’s Easter Games is expected to be bigger compared with previous years as it serves two purposes.
Athletes have a chance to gain qualification for the Pacific Mini Games and also get another shot at participating at the Fiji Finals.
The competition is one of the divisional qualifying zones that athletes who failed to qualify through their respective zones can utilise to improve their times, throws and hopefully through merit compete at the Fiji Finals.
So far, Athletics Fiji has been impressed with the major interest shown by athletes and the results yielded which they said is close to the qualifying standards.
