One game at a time, this principle guides the Lelean Memorial School under-19 rugby team as they prepare for their quarter-final clash against the Southern zone champions, Suva Grammar School tomorrow.

The team engaged in a hard-fought playoff battle against Bucalevu Secondary School, emerging victorious with a narrow margin of 18-15.

This hard-fought victory has set the stage for an epic showdown between two powerhouse schools from the eastern and southern.

Reflecting on the intense match, Assistant Principal of Lelean, Ulaiyasi Vakatawakoula, commended the opposing team for providing a rigorous challenge.

He underscored the need for the team to focus on their strengths.

“We will be taking one game at a time, going against Suva Grammar School, who is number one from the Southern zone, will be a good challenge for the boys, it won’t be an easy task, but the boys need to work extra hard to get this win.

“We told the boys to work on their strength, and capitalise on that, and minimise the mistake, respect our opponent and play a clear rugby match.”

With the support of their loyal fans, the team is motivated to give their all in the upcoming quarter-final match scheduled for tomorrow at 2.10pm at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
