THE issue of occupational health and safety (OHS)was one of the remittances discussed at the Fiji Nursing Association 61st Annual General Meeting(AGM) 2018 currently taking place at the Novotel Conference Centre in Lami.
A Representative from the Sigatoka Branch raised the issue that when it came to personal protective equipments, no life jackets were provided for those crossing the rivers or took the boats.
“For fire safety, there is no fire evacuation plan and fire extinguishers are out of date and those who take the contract is not known as well,”the representative said.
Before the conclusion of the AGM, FNA will also disclose election results for new appointments as well.
