A police officer with the longest name was among those honoured on Remembrance Day at the Labasa Police Station on Monday morning.

Constable Elenoa Gataialupe Penidigitakikinaqitokipapuaniukini was laid to rest in her village of Tubou on Lakeba, Lau earlier this year.

Her name was registered by the Fiji Police Force when she enlisted on April 27, 2009.

She served at the Lakeba and Nabua police stations in 2012, the Call Centre at the National Police Command and Coordination Centre in 2019, and finally the Totogo Police Station in 2020.

Her sister placed a wreath at the monument to fallen officers. Other family members of fallen police officers were at the event which was officiated by Acting Deputy Police Commissioner Aporosa Lutunauga.
