THE New Zealand men’s side finished 7th at the 2019 Oceania 7s.
After a disappointing day two where they lost to Japan and Fiji, New Zealand bounced back to beat Solomon Islands 39-7.
Coach Clark Laidlaw wasn’t pleased with the overall result but was happy to have had matches over the past three days.

Laidlaw added his team enjoyed their stay in Fiji and hoped they could come and play more frequently.
