Wests Tigers forward Zane Musgrove could be suspended for three matches after his sinbinning in the Māori All Stars’ draw with the Australian Indigenous team.
Musgrove, 24, has been charged by the NRL judiciary for a grade two shoulder charge in Townsville on Saturday night.
He was sinbinned in the 35th minute for the hit on Indigenous player Tyrell Fuimaono.
A NRL.com report stated Musgrove “will receive a three-game ban if he unsuccessfully challenges the charge at the judiciary but can reduce the suspension by a match with an early guilty plea’’.
The Auckland-born prop played six matches for Wests Tigers last season after 27 games over three seasons for South Sydney.
Meanwhile, Māori All Stars co-captain Dallin Watene-Zelezniak could be out of pocket for a grade-one careless high tackle on Indigenous try-scorer Alex Johnston.
Watene-Zelezniak, who scored a try in the 10-10 draw, could face a fine of between $1350 and $1800, according to NRL.com.
The former Kiwis captain plays as an outside back for the Bulldogs.
The 25-year-old has played 132 NRL games since his 2014 debut for the Panthers.
