The Fiji National Disaster Risk Management Office states restrictions of movement in the Western Division have been lifted.
In an update provided this evening, NDRMO adds a total of eight evacuation centers are currently active with 79 households and 350 evacuees in the Western Division.
NDRMO states delivery of rations to the affected households in the centers took place today.
“Ministry of Health teams are conducting visits to all ECs and providing medical support as needed.”
Assistance provided to those in the evacuation centers were as follows:
- 100 Bottles of water and 4 black pack hygiene kits have been donated by Freezco and Red Cross to the 4 ECs in Nadi.
- Hare Rama Hare Krishna team have been distributing food to the evacuees in Korovuto EC.
- Empower Pacific has been providing psychosocial support at the ECs in Nadi.
