NO cane trucks have queued outside the sugar mill in Labasa this morning despite the scheduled crushing which starts today.
Yesterday lorry drivers met in Labasa and agreed to not supply cane today because of the limited tonnage believed to be seven tonnes maximum.
National Farmers Union president Surendra Lal is in a meeting and will comment on details later.
But the online team visited the mill this morning and saw no cane trucks outside the mill.
Crushing was scheduled to begin at 9am this morning but has been deferred to 12pm.
